　　Some pedestrians tend to run the red light in groups when crossing the street. This phenomenon has attracted widespread concern in China.

　　The accidents on the zebra lines will be getting less if people care more about the road safety. Unfortunately, it still leaves much to be desired, because of so-called Chinese style of crossing roads--a way of crossing a road altogether by a group of people, when the traffic light is red. Why do people neglect the safety of their lives so much?

　　Firstly,it reflects Chinese people's lacking of a rule-obeying awareness. They believe that numerous offenders will not be punished. Second, while jay walkers indeed deserve some reflection, the length of a red light and the imperfection in road conditions need further improvement, which partly accounts for this sorry state of affair.

　　So, I hope government should make the crossroads more convenient and available for people to cross the road. The public should be convinced of the importance of road safety.As a student, I must spot the right light to cross theroad, and never follow those who lead themselves to danger. Meanwhile, I'll try to advise people to obey traffic rules consciously, rather than having fluky psychology. Bear it in mind: life is precious, and only once.

　　Not only does Running Red Light disturb traffic order, but also it became one of the causes of traffic accidents. According to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 62,387 people died in 210,812 road traffic accidents in 2011, with 237,421 injured, whose deaths top the list of deaths from non-natural causes in China.

　　Beijing traffic chiefs have vowed to crack down on jaywalkers who go against traffic lights after making sure there are no cars coming. From this week, people who do not wait for the "green man" signal to cross at intersections will receive on-the-spot fines of 10 yuan. The traffic management bureau said it will not only focus on punishment but also upgrade road safety facilities, such as arranging traffic lights more scientifically, and building overpasses.

　　People talked about widespread violation of traffic laws and raised concerns about pedestrians disregarding traffic lights, which will be a continuous action to improve road safety, making pedestrians follow the traffic laws.

　　Chinese style of crossing streets has been a hot topic on the internet recently.

　　Nowadays, many people cross streets without looking at the traffic lights. Why? I think there are two main reasons. Some people lack traffic safety awareness. Besides, some people are so hurry that they don't want to wait for the green light.

　　However, it has brought danger to themselves as well as to others. So I hope something must be done to avoid traffic accidents. For example, whoever breaks the traffic rules should be punished.

　　As middle school students, we should obey the traffic rules. What's more, I will try my best to advise people to obey the rules. Only in this way can we cross streets safely.
