Old people can keep cats
Some old people sometimes feel lonely. I think they can keep cats as their pets.
First, cats are not very big and they don’t eat too much. Old people don’t need to make them big houses or spend too much on the cat food. Second, cats are very clean and easy to take care of. Old people don’t need to clean the house very often. Third, cats are good companies. When old people watch TV or rest on the sofa, cats are always with them. They make old people’s life much happier.

Merry Christmas
It was one of the last days before Christmas， and the as sistants in the large store had their hands full serving eager Christmas shoppers。
At one counter an old lady was choosing gloves red ones for her daugher in law， light blue ones for her niece， pink ones for her grand daughter， green ones for her sister and by the time she had found what she wanted， the counter was covered with pairs of all colors and sizes。
When the salesgirl had finally written out the bill and was about to turn to the next customer with a tired voice。 "Thank you very much， madam，" the old lady suddenly cried out， "Oh， I almost forgot。。。"——"Anything else， madam?" said the girl， "Yes，" began the old lady， "I＇d like to buy another pair， but I＇ m not quite sure about what exactly I should cloose。 I wonder if you could help me。" "Certainly， madam"， was the girl＇s reply。 The old lady then went on to explain that what she was looking for was a pair of gloves for a girl of her age。 She was not at ail sure what color to choose， and the design was a problem too。
The tired girl did her best to help the old lady make up her mind， showing her ail kinds of gloves。
At last the chosen pair of gloves were wrapped up and paid for as well， and as the girl was about to turn to the next customer， the old lady handed her a little parcel and said， "These now， dear， these are for you and thank you for being so patient。 I do hope you have a merry Christmas !"

Today， scientists have joined the dialogue to seek answers about what contributes to happiness or， as they call it， "subjective well-being"。
If happiness is activity in accordance with excellence， it is reasonable that it should be in accordance with the highest excellence。 – Aristotle The concept of happiness--while difficult to define-- is obviously here to stay。 But the desire for happiness can set up expectations that are often hard to fulfill。 The right to pursue happiness was conceived of as an inalienable right; the entitlement that everyone be happy was never promised。 As captured by Eric Hoffer， a misguided search we hope to provide a framework that will guide you in your personal pursuit of happiness。

昨天下午，陽(yáng)光明媚，我準(zhǔn)備去上英語(yǔ)課，心情特別高興。
到了英語(yǔ)班，我發(fā)現(xiàn)了極大的變化，樹木長(zhǎng)大了，玩具變新了，地上鋪上了一條長(zhǎng)長(zhǎng)的的彩虹，我好想在彩虹上睡覺。
走進(jìn)里面，發(fā)現(xiàn)有許多新老師，我希望我的英語(yǔ)老師沒有變，我走上前，墻上掛著我的老師的圖像，我走到班里也發(fā)現(xiàn)有許多新同學(xué)，我有點(diǎn)尷尬，開始懷疑我是走錯(cuò)了班級(jí)。
到了第二節(jié)課下課，我們排著隊(duì)下樓去，我不知道出去外面干什么？老師告訴我們要去抽獎(jiǎng)。我領(lǐng)到了一個(gè)氣球，因?yàn)榫o張，手腳都變遲鈍了，我捂著耳朵用力一踩，沒有破，再來一腳也沒有破，我生氣了，不再捂耳朵上前狠狠地踩了一腳，啪一聲，氣球破了，著實(shí)把我嚇了一跳，撲通撲通地跳了半天。
我發(fā)現(xiàn)氣球里面有一個(gè)白色紙條，上面寫著，一盒小玩具，我拿到玩具后，老師還給我拍了一個(gè)照片。
雖然只是一個(gè)小小的玩具，但是我并沒有后悔。當(dāng)然，我也很羨慕人家的大禮品。
