　　As time goes by, man is making the earth sick. People cut down too many trees and leave rubbish everywhere. Factories let out their waste without doing anything to it . This has caused some serious problems. Such as the land is sandy, the river is dirty, the air is less clean, even the temperature of the earth is rising.

　　What should we do to save the earth ? My suggestion is that we should plant more trees, put rubbish into dusbins and stop factories (from)pouring waste directly into the air or rivers. In all, we have only one earth, we should do our best to protect it, or we will regret.

　　在大年初一那一天，我們去市民廣場玩，當時我以為自己走錯了地方：往日那里綠草如茵，時不時還能看見花蝴蝶在五彩繽紛的花叢中穿梭著，翩翩起舞著；人們則會坐在石凳上聊天享受著舒適的日光浴；周圍的一切是那么的整潔舒暢。

如詩如畫的景象頓時灰飛煙盡。那天的市民廣場人山人海，地面鋪上一層厚厚的五顏六色地毯——全是垃圾，而這些垃圾給清潔工們增加繁重的工作量。在那里，我還看見了很多只久違的蒼蠅、蚊子也過來湊熱鬧，現在可是大冬天。草地上也布滿了垃圾，一陣風吹來，垃圾就到處飛揚，臭氣裝滿了整個廣場，簡直就是垃圾場。

As a result，the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries. Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene!

　　What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we don’t take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

　　一次，我在街頭看見一個人在抽煙，抽完后連煙頭也不滅，直接扔在了地上。接著，他又開始吃瓜子，吃完的殼隨便一吐。我實在看不下去，就對他說：“怎么能這樣呢?”他說：“一個小孩子，懂什么呀，走開。我沒有害怕，對他說：“我雖然小，但也知道這樣不對，何況你大人!而且你還直接把煙頭扔在地上，萬一現在天氣干燥，引起火災怎么辦。”停了停，說，“還有瓜子殼，人家看了怎么想啊，你這是在影響環境。”那人低下頭，沒有說話，我想他會改正的。

　　還有一次，我到堂弟家做客，看見他洗手時把水開得很大，洗完手后他還用很多紙擦手。我看了后對他說：“你怎么這么浪費呀?”他聽后，撅著嘴對我說：“就這么一點，又沒什么關系!”我生氣地說：“這怎么會沒關系呢?你知不知道那些貧困山區的孩子們一天只喝多少水?知不知道他們只有多少紙?”可我那不服輸的堂弟卻理直氣壯地說：“不知道!”我嘆了口氣說：“我們比他們要幸福多了，你怎么不知道知足呢?”這時，堂弟知道了事情的“重要性”，低著頭說：“我知道錯了，我會改正的。”
