The past several years have witnessed a phenomenon that a variety of promises have been arising from all walks of life. Regretfully, quite a lot of promises are sheer nonsense, just as the hen in the given cartoon commits herself to lay eggs which are round without any angles and corners and have shells, egg whites and yolks.
Odd and funny as they sound, such false promises can be seen and heard everywhere in our country. Administration departments assure to perform their tasks effectively and fairly without taking any bribes; manufacturing units guarantee to turn out products of good quality; commercial enterprises swear to provide genuine commodities and polite and enthusiastic services. Can you find anything new and substantial other than their obligations, duties and jobs in these so called promises? I guess your answer will be negative. As a matter of fact, their intention to make such commitments is nothing but to put on civilized outer clothing to please or deceive the public.
I dare say that our society is suffering corruption and cheat which are causing damage to society both materially and morally. But the hen and her like should know that by dishonest words no one can survive the intense competition under market economy system. They should remember the old saying, “Honesty is the best policy”.

All of our classmates met at the school gate at 7:00 a.m. , and went to the farm by bus. On arriving there, we were given a warm welcome by the farm workers. Then one of the workers showed us around the farm, where we learned a lot about farming.
At noon, we had a picnic,during which we enjoyed ourselves in the sunshine, singsing, dancing and flying the kites. We did love the fresh air and the beauty of nature. We took lots of pictures.
Time flew! It was time for us to leave though we didn't want to. It was really an unforgettable and meaningful trip for us.

However, I firmly believe that working during university education can be very beneficial to students.

First of all, taking part-time jobs can help reduce the financial burden of the students' families. Generally speaking, the income of most parents is not very high. As many universities are increasing their tuition, the education of their children is becoming an increasingly heavy burden for many parents. Some parents in the cities find it hard to pay this cost, not to mention those parents in the countryside. But if students can take some part-time jobs, their income can cover part of the expenditure, thus lowering the burden of their parents. One of my classmates pays for daily expenses completely from his own bearings, and both his parents and he are very proud of it.

“I come, I see!Shake English, shake the world!”這句口號一直在我耳邊回響。這周我們學校舉辦了英語節,以豐富多彩的英語活動為載體,營造良好的英語學習的氛圍,豐富校園文化生活,讓我們在英語活動中體會到學英語,用英語的快樂。
這次英語節的主題是:“I come, I see!Shake English, shake the world!!”在一周里,學校開展了一系列豐富多彩的英語活動,如:周二的單詞運動會,周三的合力尋寶,周四的我行我show,周五的跳蚤市場、社團表演和班級里的英語歌唱比賽。我們在玩中學,學中做,齊心協力,各運匠心,充分感受到了英語的快樂,使我更加愛上了英語。
在這次英語節中,各種活動可以說是好戲連臺,精彩呈現:
周一,英語節正式開幕。在開幕式上六(1)班的同學為我們呈現出了他們的活潑,幾位主持人用他們流利的英語為我們的英語節做出了一個好的開頭。
周二,余老師在班級里舉行了“單詞運動會”,把全班分成了3組,經過幾輪比賽后,我們組最終是第二名。
周三,我、李樂琪、王展豪、王以勒、侯錦宇和趙君安為一組。我們一開始,王展豪順利的從垃圾桶邊找到了一張紅紙。接下來我們都順利地找到了以后的幾張紙。有一張紙上讓我們畫一位保安,侯錦宇把保安畫的跟豬一樣,真是“天才”啊!
周五,是英語節的最后一天,也是最開心的一天。早上的英語課,是由我們4位英語課代表來主持第二屆英語歌唱比賽。在比賽中,第一名還是潘怡伽、陳思琪。在第一屆中也是他們兩,這次又是他們,真是“羨慕、嫉妒、恨”。中午,我們開始了我們的跳蚤市場活動。我們“陽槑”小組大約賺了500元左右。最讓我感到驚訝的是居然有人花錢去買氣球,九(5)班的同學,買下了我們的所有氣球,不可思議啊!下午,就是我期待已久的社團活動。我們英語演講社表演的是《灰姑娘》——Cinderella,精彩的話劇,也讓我多了一次的嘗試。

寫作作為一個重要的輸出環節在語言教學中占舉足輕重的地位,寫作教學可鞏固已學過的語言知識,發展學生的語言技能。因為寫作有更多的時間思考,所以對那些語言接受能力較差的學生來說,寫作教學更加適合。當然,寫作教學還可以提高寫作技能本身。英語課程標準也對初一學生英語寫作有明確的要求,即能參照范例寫出或回復簡單的問候卡和邀請卡,能用短語或句子描述系列圖片,編寫簡單的故事。
但初一學生剛從小學升入初中,習慣于小學里把寫作當做翻譯的做法。在他們的習慣意識中,寫作等于枯燥的翻譯,不但沒興趣,且會經常出現這樣那樣的語法、習慣用法的錯誤。因此他們對寫作既不感興趣,又有畏難情緒。美國著名心理學家布魯納也說:“學習的刺激力量乃是對所學教材的興趣。”可見,興趣是做好的老師,也是使學生持之以恒地學習的催化劑,沒有興趣就沒有求知欲。心理學上提到,所謂興趣,是人們在認識過程中產生的具有傾向性的一種心理現象。興趣的基礎在于需要,對需要的滿足就是成功,這種滿足又會產生新的需要,即產生新的興趣。對于學生來說,這種興趣就是學習的積極性,學習的動力,這就是求知欲。因此,在初一英語作文教學中能否激發學生的興趣,是提高初一學生英語作文教學成敗的關鍵。筆者通過以下嘗試探索了如何提高初一學生英語作文興趣。
其一,在寫作課教學設計中注重設計情景教學環節。情境教學是指在教學過程中為了達到既定的教學目的,教師從教學需要出發,引入、創造或創設一種與教學內容相適應,并能調動學生積極參與到教學過程中的具體場景或氛圍,以引起學生的情感體驗,幫助學生迅速而正確地理解教學內容,促進他們的心理機能和生理機能全面和諧發展的一種教學方法。運用情境教學法,使盲生具有切身的感受,并建立正確的動作表象。以生活展現情境;以語言描述情境;以實物演示情境以聲音再現情境,從而加深對動作要領的理解,使盲生更加積極的參與到課堂活動中。它是提升教學質量的有效方法和重要途徑在寫作課中,創設情景,引導學生自身去觀察、感受和體驗,吸引學生注意力,使學生產生強烈的求知欲和高漲的熱情,從而引導學生入情入景、會心專心地寫作。
如教學7A U4 Main task 部分,因為本課的中心主題是Healthy eating, 那么如何引導學生對 Millie的Healthy eating 感興趣,從而寫出自己的healthy eating呢?這個過程中如果采用先理解Millie的Healthy eating,再過渡到寫學生的Healthy eating,學生缺少過程的體驗和感知,缺少對Healthy eating的直接感知,不能感悟到Healthy eating的實際意義,因而也不能提起對自己的Healthy eating寫作的興趣。如果創設一個情景,讓學生感知Healthy eating的意義,可能會激發學生的表達欲望。
其二,讓學生在理解事物的科學內涵過程中滿足其對事物的好奇心,激發其閱讀和寫作的興趣。心理學指出:人的一切發明創造來自于好奇心,好奇心是人們對新鮮事物積極探求的一種心理傾向,是人的一種本能,它是人的寶貴品質,好奇心得到滿足就會產生靈感,初一學生本身就對身邊的一切事物懷著一顆好奇心,對事物的`科學內涵有著本身的求知欲望。若能幫助學生剖析事物的科學內涵,滿足其好奇心,能夠激發出他們最大的興趣。
其三,讓學生在寫作過程中有成就感。心理學家認為:孩子的心理發展與成就感有密切的聯系,一個充滿自信、樂意在生活中游戲中積極探索的孩子會從一個個成功的體驗中,特別是在具有挑戰性的工作中,通過克服困難取得的成就感中獲得身心的極大愉悅,從而增強自信心和學生的興趣,加速智慧的發展。新的英語課程標準也指出:“采用活動途徑,倡導體驗參與,讓學生在教師的指導下,通過感知、體驗、實踐、參與和合作等方式,實現目標,感受成功。”可見“成就感”的培養對于英語學習有著重要的作用。
筆者認為在初一學生的英語作文寫作的興趣的培養中,成就感也對他們起非常重要的作用。興趣有時來自學生的不斷努力地嘗試和逐步的成就感,學生在寫作過程中哪怕有一點成就感,也能激發出一片熱情。為了讓學生不斷用自己的成就感來激勵自己,老師在設置寫作任務時,不能要求過高,讓其難以達到,也不能設置過低讓其喪失自尊心。要讓他們再伸伸手就能摘到頭上的香蕉的方式引導他們寫作,增強其成就感,激發其寫作熱情。如這課中,讓學生寫自己的Healthy eating時,示范地列個提綱,讓他們列出他們自己的提綱,根據提綱來表達其要表達的思想,既思路清晰,又表達得完整。學生模仿著寫出自己的提綱,對他們來說不難,很容易形成。學生再根據自己所列提綱進行寫作,容易形成流利通順的語言和清晰地文章思路,容易造就學生的成就感,激起學生寫作熱情和興趣。
總之,保持初一學生積極的英語作文態度是英語作文成功的關鍵。教師應該在作文教學過程中,采用各種可操作的措施,不斷地激發并強化學生的作文興趣,并引導他們逐漸將興趣轉化為穩定的學習動機,以使他們樹立作文自信心,鍛煉他們克服困難的意志,使他們的作文水平和能力不斷提高,為其進一步學習英語打下堅實的基礎。
